Sedona Dental Arts Patient Testimonials

I am once again, enthusiastic and unafraid to visit the dentist office. After a 10-year "fear and loathing" based-procrastination to avoid even driving by a dentist's office, my front tooth crown broke in half, and fell off. Neither superglue nor wishful thinking could restore it. I found Sedona Dental Arts, and Dr. David Bill; and they saw me that afternoon. The restoration of my mouth and faith in dentistry began that same day.

My mouth is a tribute to every dental technique, surgery, and procedure known to dentists since 1958. Unkind memories abound accompanied with a residual childlike fear.

Dr. Bill and his entire staff are respectful of me as a person; my life-long dental experiences; and honor the fact that as an adult, I don't have to endure pain. Dr. Bill and his staff are consistently conscientious and concerned with how I feel. And I can say with complete sincerity, Dr. Bill is the most comfortable provider of Novacain I've ever encountered. This is a big deal for me. And during procedures, his care and pain-free practice continues. I actually fell asleep during a 3 1/2 hour multi-crown restoration; who knew????

With the completion of the first 1/4 of an extensive restoring of my neglected crowns, decays, and broken teeth; I am happy, satisfied, and truly embracing of Dr. Bill, his great staff, and the experience they provide. Over the next year, I look forward to completing and enjoying the enormous satisfaction and good health associated with a well-maintained and healthy mouth.

From the front desk receptionist's "Hello, Vincent" upon arrival, to the individual smiles, "How are yous?", "Nice to see you", and "Come back with me", the family-like welcome sets the tone for the entire visit.

Thank you Dr. Bill and your talented staff for making the dental experience one filled with compassion, care, and true respect for patients. And the resulting work quality and appearance reflect all that and more. And thank you for the confidence and joy my smile now conveys once again.

P.S. Thank you Cathy, for asking me to write this testimonial. You were my first contact with the procedures room; and helped me understand all that could, would, or possibly take place in the ensuing months. And thanks for "dropping by" during my first complicated procedure. Though I was "fuzzy" during your brief visit, your smiling face was encouraging and comforting.

Cathy has always been such a comfort to me when I come in for any dental procedure. She is sensitive to my concerns and sensitivities and even will give me a tender, caring touch on the shoulder or hold my hand when I am nervous. I find Cathy’s presence reassuring and soothing. Her skills as a dental assistant are superb. Her compassion and understanding go beyond measure… I am grateful to see her every time I walk in the office.

We appreciate so much your taking your time to look into and explain to us the "puzzlement" that was plaguing us regarding the insurance "terminology" and complications therefrom! Most of all, we're thankful that your office was understanding and thoughtful in other ways as well! Thanks so much...

I cannot say enough about Lissa! She listened to my concerns re: very sensitive teeth; fears re the dreaded “polisher” and other issues that are very personal to me regarding dental hygiene. My experience was not only pain free, but I have new instructions and information that will help me maintain great oral hygiene. I love Sedona Dental Arts for many reasons. Lissa is the newest reason!

Elissa Long is the best dental hygienist I have had in several decades of dental care. She is actively engaged in my well-being, quick, skillful and even can use the water laser in a way my sensitive gums can tolerate without pain. Elissa is very knowledgeable as well. Her cheerful manner puts me at ease which is a big plus for a dental coward like me.

I have been in dentist chairs since I was five years old – I am now nearly 81! I think that gives me the right to commend my new dentist, Tamara Bill Fernandes, DDS, for her incomparable chariside manner and her ability to administer the often dreaded shots with unusual skill. I highly recommend Dr Fernandes to friends in Sedona and the surrounding area.

My childhood dentist could have been the model for the dentist in “The Little Shop of Horrors” film. On a scale of 1 to 10 for fear of dentists, I was a 15. My teeth have been inconsistently cared for over the years because of multiple frightening or frustrating experiences. I’ve had periodontal surgery, twice. In the many states I’ve lived, I’d seek references for a good pain-free dentist. I found ALL dentist claim to have those skills but very few do…I believe if you find an excellent dentist in a family practice, every person and dentist in that practice is outstanding. As in business, it’s “top-down.” Dr Bill recently did a root canal for me and it was totally pain free. I am no longer afraid to continue my course of treatment. A custom made topical is used so one could hardly feel the injections. My primary discomfort was from my own anxiety. I’m a person who notices all the little details and this office is outstanding: it’s obvious that someone has thought about all of them. The reception, whether by phone or in person, is genuinely welcoming and warm. The office is immaculate with state of the art technology and serene views. Every staff person is patient, highly trained and delightful. They respect individuals and offer treatment options taking into consideration a patient’s financial abilities. When I moved to Cottonwood two years ago I started asking for a pain-free good dentist in the area (because I now knew they did exist) and people would say, “there is no such thing!” YES, THERE IS! I’m going back and I know I’m going to the best. I have an extensive course of treatment and may feel some discomfort but I know I won’t need to be afraid anymore. I could cry.
